"Heavenly Angels"

In Memory of my Father - a Spiritual connection to those that have passed before me.

This picture was taken one day as I was meditating on my back porch. As I opened my eyes, I looked up and saw the above cloud formation; I named "Heavenly Angels". God Bless!!

I just realized the date (11/13) - My 48th Birthday - WOW!! What a spiritual connection - Amazing!!

Loving Kindness Relaxation Exercise

I practiced this exercise three different day and times; morning, afternoon, and night and each was a difference experience.  The first time I preformed this exercise was in the morning after waking up.  During this attempt,  I could not stay focused, my mind wanted to wander continuously.  Even though my body was relaxed, my mind was already thinking about things I needed to accomplish.  The second attempt was much better and the best experience.  This meditation was done after a high intensity workout.  I completed the meditation in a hot tub  with Epsom salts with only candles and no lights on.  I was able to totally relax and clear my mind.  After the meditation I felt revived.  The final attempt was completed just before bed. This had similar results as the morning attempt.  my mind again wanted to wander on events that had happened or thing I had not finished.  However, I was more relaxed at night than in the morning. I would recommend this experience because any meditation is worth trying. However, I believe there are better exercises a person could use.

  1. Great post, I would agree that a morning meditation would not be very successfull. I also run through my entire day as soon as I get up. I did not consider putting the meditation with excersize. I find that my "head" is clearer at that time also. However, I often meditate at night before bed. I find that this is most beneficial for me. It allows me to clear my head. I also have to have some type of sound with this meditation. I noticed that the disc had ocean sounds in the background which are my favorite so maybe that is why I was able to. Great post.

  2. I thought your post was great also. I agree the a morning meditation helps. I start each day off with a meditation and prayer to grant me the ability to make a difference in someone's life before my feet hit the floor. I meditate and unwind before going to bed to clear my mind of the day's bloggling clutter, which helps to prepare me for the night's rest. I also take 500mg of B-1 vitamin to help my brain to produce more seratonin during its sleep functions. I also find that listening to Thunderstom/lightning storm sounds and the sounds of rainforests also as a calming experience.
